Amendoeira O’Connor Jnr.
Christy O’Connor Jnr golf course, opened in 2008 located at Amendoeira Resort 4km inland from Armaçao de Pera. A slightly hilly course therefore a buggy is recommended. O’Connor is a very long golf course with various water features, both lakes and watercourses spread throughout the golf course, wide fairways and large fast greens with lots of bunkers. The first hole describes these course, very opened fairway and with big greens. This golf course would suit players with a medium or medium low handicap and is a fairly friendly golf course for ladies enabling them to enjoy a shorter distance with 697m between the red and yellow tees. A nice golf course with lovely views of the countryside.

This is a beautiful course, great customer service at check in, the caddies were very helpful with buggies and directions. The starter was polite and informative. Course was in good condition not withstanding the ongoing access improvement works. The whole experience was somewhat diminished by the fact that we were accompanied on 14 out of 18 holes by mowers, grass blowers and bunker raking machinery. They seemed to move with us from hole to hole and we played against the continuous backdrop of agronomy activities. I get that this work has to be done and you might encounter it on one or two holes but to have to for almost the entire round was, in my opinion, unacceptable and impacted the golfing experience. Not a cheap place to play so would think twice about playing here again given the on course experience.

It was realy busy and no marshall on the course . Flihts before us were very slow . So we had to sto playing golf one hole 15 . We also complained on the reception.

Really nice layout and fair course. Only fault was couldn't get our buggy till 15 mins before tee time.had to walk uphill to range with golf bags

The transfer to and from the golf course was excellent. The driver was on time for both hotel and golf course. 10/10
The staff were very friendly and we got our buggies early and to go to the driving range. 10/10
The course played well but one of our groups was told to hurry up by the ranger, they could not do so as they were held up by the group in front of them. It was not right to blame them. 9/10
We will be back again on our next trip.

Interesting and tough layout in good condition (a bit muddy after a lot of rain). Reasonable pace of play (4:30), slows down on back 9 with challenging water crossings.

Very good but testing course, we had a very enjoyable round joined by two members for 13 holes. Look forward to playing it again on Thursday, hopefully in the same glorious sunshine

NIce course. Difficult when you play for the first time. Greens ok. Good pace of play.
