In Vila Sol the employees didnt smile and did not have the service attitude like the other courses we have been playing this time..Example :At the other golfcoursesxthey helpt you with getting the bag on the trolley/Buggi. First time many of our party had played Vila Sol and we all really enjoyed it. Great clubhouse, course in excellent condition with lengthy par 3's and 4's which made it tough, but not impossible, for the average golfer amongst us. Only downside was that no sandwiches or snacks were available at the half way house (sold out), despite it's proximity to the clubhouse.

Great course, not quite as well maintained as some of the other courses in the area. We teed off at 1.39 and had to queue for 45 mins for our buggies, so missed out on the range and putting green. Good clubhouse and terrace overlooking the 18th. Fabulous Bobby Robson tributes.

Excellent Course in great condition and one of the best value for money courses in the Vilamoura area which in my opinion have increased too high over the past few years. One recommendation is course Marshall should be more noticeable on the Course to keep pace of play in some shape. Some golfers should know when to pick the ball up and not hit a maximum of 10 on a hole.

Very very slow. Over 5+ hours for 18 hours with buggies. Every hole had 3 groups on.
One of our group left a wedge on a green and it was not handed in which was disappointing.

Well managed booking with good organisation with starters despite a group of 6 (!) in front of us? They were obviously briefed not to putt out as they didn’t cause a delay. Course in very good condition but so expensive these days. Could you not do a cheaper rate for house owners in the Algarve or Pestana card holders? We are regular visitors to Dunas Douradas several times a year.

Lovely course which was suggested by Simon at Tee Times. We couldnt find many reviews prior to travelling, so were a little apprehensive prior to going. The couse was fantastic and in great condition. We had pre-booked buggies, however none were available so had to use trolleys. This did not affectthe day in anyway. We were held up a little with slow play however had plenty of time to get around. Loved every hole. Beer buggies was frequent too ;)

When we played the power was down in Portugal so any payments could only be cash. We wanted 2 buggies but only had 100 euros in cash but because we were 10 euros short they would not allow us to have the buggies even though we promised to pay the 10 euros when the ATM's were working again. They need to work on their customer satisfaction skills

The layout of the two nines that we played was very good. However the maintenance of the course was very, very poor. Not enough attention given to the maintenance of the greens in particular. A great clubhouse and excellent staff. May I thanks Debbie in particular who helped get us transport back to our hotel during the power outage. Vila Sol was rated equal last ( along with Christy O'Connor ) and a big step down when compared with Laranjal, Quinta do Lago South and Monte Rei.

I have for long time liked Vila Sol Golf course. Challenging course with narrow fairways, with some very nice holes. The course was now in April in very good condition, I managed to play the all 27 holes this time.

Course in decent condition, pace of play pretty good (4:15), especially considering the short tee time spacing. Narrow fairways with stone pine tree canopies interfering with shots from the rough to the green. Layout is OK, although plenty of fairways side—by-side.

4hours 40minutes to do 18 holes. Beautiful course, but sadly staff here didn’t push along slow groups. I play every week in 4 players, doing 3hours 30mins, worse case 4hours. Won’t play here again. Baan lag er in zijn geheel prima bij. Alleen 5 uur erover doen met een buggy (en bij iedere hole wachten) is wel heeeeel erg lang. Horeca doet altijd een beetje moeilijk als je nog wat wilt eten.
.... Ja, u moet snel bestellen want de keuken gaat bijna dicht en drie kwartier later kan er bij een andere tafel nog gewoon besteld worden! -**- Overall, the course was in great shape. Only 5 hours with a buggy (and waiting at every hole) is really long. Restaurants are always a bit difficult if you want something to eat.
.... Yes, you have to order quickly because the kitchen is about to close and three quarters of an hour later you can still just order from another table!

Very dissatisfied with today’s course. We started at 3:36 pm from tee 19 with no part ahead. At tee 20 we caught up with an excessively slow game of 4 and then we realized that there was a competition or other event reserved for Juniors. 1h30 to painfully make 3 tees. Impossible to play we had to give up. For a reservation made 2 months before, it is expensive paid.
