It was the first time I have played Silves Golf Course. I found it a good walking course, unlike many in the Algarve I have played. I really enjoyed the layout of the course with many interesting holes and fantastic views. The course was in very good condition and I would definitely recommend it. I will definitely be playing here again.

Despite all the rain during January and February so far, the course is holding up well, only a few areas where the rain has collected. The greens are as good as they normally are, a credit to the greens staff.

All good on the golf course and at reception. It would help if the overspill (additional) car parking areas were improved, as the surfaces are very poor. These areas have been poor for many years, and I would have thought Pestana would have upgraded the surfaces, as the areas in question, are used EVERY day.

Course in OK condition for the season. Pace of play slow. 1st flight of Chez Carlos delaying all the others. It is critical that some thought is given to this ongoing issue (not particular to Chez Carlos). Long term this may dissuade people to play.

This was the first time we played at Silves and we really enjoyed our round of golf there. The course had good variety and interest for our mixed capability group. And we were 'tee to green' without being held up pretty much the whole way round. We will definitely be back.

Silves is one of our favourite courses in the Algarve. It doesn't have spectacular views, or particularly outstanding holes, but just a relatively open course which can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities. Always in good condition with friendly staff. Only minor complaint is the pace of play was quite slow which I attributed to a few groups of older and higher handicap golfers in the 4-ball groups ahead of our 2-ball.

This was the first time I had played Silves for several years. The last time, the new clubhouse was just being built. I must say I was surprised and disappointed by how tiny the changing rooms were. I don't suppose they'll do anything about it now they've finished the building, but they should have been much bigger.
I was also surprised and disappointed by the lack of practice facilities. There is no driving range, just a net, and a very small practice putting green.
The course was great though. We thoroughly enjoyed it although there are some steep climbs and a few long walks between greens and tees. I wish I had taken a buggy. The steep climb up the hill to 18th is a killer at the end of a round. I would definitely play Silves again.

Being part of the Pestana group I would have hoped the condition would have been at same standard as Vila Sol but it isn’t that’s not to say it was bad just a bit more grooming and watering would further enhance it and bring it up to that standard.

I’ve read about the nearby factory billowing out smoke which it did today but it didn’t affect visibility and had a lovely burning wood smell which was a bonus.
