Well the course was very wet but they allowed us to play. They had not been able to get machinery out to prepare the course and it was annoying losing balls in the clover patches. But all in all we had a game of golf. People at the club were welcoming and helpful. We will be back in better conditions it’s a great quirky little course.

Course was very wet several lost balls due to plugging. Staff were less than enthusiastic and the greens were below the general standard of greens at other courses in the area very slow and in need of attention.
On the plus side the views and layout are great.

A lovely quirky little course. Some blind shots made it awkward but it was a good test of golf. We will definitely come back and try it again. Some great views and you can see the sea on the horizon from the clubhouse bar.

A challenging and at times unfair golf course. I last played this course 33 years ago. Some improvements made but some of the holes are just unplayable. The course was in reasonable condition and was value for money as the buggy was included.

Had a group of 25 avid golfers, most of which had never played the course prior to our outing. The general consensus was beautiful, scenic golf course and highly under rated in the Algarve. After hearng for years negative remarks from multiple sources which we feel were quite unwarranted, our group will be using this venue regularly going forward. The course itself was in better than fair condition and the service was top notch and well appreciated. This coupled with the price makes it a very attractive venue for Society golf.

Santo Antonio Golf, or Parque da Floresta, is like a giant playground for golfers, with courses like a roller coaster through the mountains. The fairways are mostly sloped, and you have to think carefully about where to place your ball. However, if you play calmly and thoughtfully, you can definitely bring a low round to the clubhouse. The condition of the course is rather below average for the Algarve, but certainly playable. The range is also just good for warming up...
The entire course, including the nice little clubhouse with its terrace and fantastic views, is showing its age and desperately needs new investment. Nevertheless, I love the course and will definitely come back.

We arrived 1 hour before our tee time so we can use the practice facilities but they refused to allocate us our pre booked buggies until 20mins before our tee time. The practice area isn't within walking distance so we where unable to practise before our round.

Excellent welcome from the golf reception staff and great service from the bar staff. In between those the course is brutal. Made tougher due to the wind but though it is a challenging layout I was disappointed with the quality of the tees and greens.

Fuss free check-in, the course was very wet & bunkers largely unplayable after weeks of rain and a couple of the holes were very challenging, especially as it's not been possible mow the fairways with large patches of ball eating clover everywhere but the greens were great & the course layout really makes you think

It’s a very tiring course due to several holes only having the buggies on the road but also you cannot get near the 16th hole so have to guess what clubs you need and carry them and then find out there is another club you need. Very strange. The rest of the course was very good

After visiting the Algarve on golf trips for more than 20 years, this was our first visit to Santo Antonio and we were all pleasantly surprised. The course was very interesting and provided awesome views of the surrounding countryside. We were glad to have rented buggies as there were some climbs. The back 9 provided a great choice of holes. Definitely worth a visit.

Immer wieder interessant dort zu spielen. Der Platzzustand ist nicht optimal, viele Kahlstellen auf den Fairs, Abschläge und Grüns sind auch suboptimal. Doch die ganze Topographie des Platzes, die Ausblicke entschädigen die Golfrunde. Daher immer wieder einmal im Jahr.
-**- Always interesting to play there. The condition of the course is not ideal, there are many bare patches on the fairways, tees and greens are also sub-optimal. But the whole topography of the course and the views make up for the round of golf. Therefore, once a year.

It was good, but nobody informed us that it closed early until we checked in. For the tee time we booked it would not have been possible to complete 18 holes. Luckily we arrived early and there was space for us to tee off earlier. We just completed 18 holes, but the buggy guy was waiting for us looking at his watch. Our pace was determined by the group in front, so it was no a slow play issue.

This is a tough golf course and one that it helps if you’ve played it before - we hadn’t !! There are lots of blind tee shots and when you add in the wind then it’s certainly a challenge.
Having said that it’s a lovely course with some great holes. Some of the greens don’t look good but they still play well.
Nice welcome when we arrived and good food and drinks post- round.

Altijd een interessante baan om te spelen met vele verschillende lay-outs van de holes. Soms laat het onderhoud wel wat te wensen over, maar donderdag 24 mei 2024 lag de baan er goed bij. -**- Always an interesting course to play with many different layouts of the holes. Sometimes the maintenance does leave something to be desired, but on Thursday 24 May 2024, the course was in good shape.

it was a special day on the santo antonio track. We started in pouring rain and after five holes we had to stop due to thunder. Then have lunch in the attractive clubhouse with real bartenders who also provided the toast with scrumbled eggs. After 1 1/2 hours it started to clear and we were able to play the second nine. We were the only ones in the golfcourse. What an impressive course in beautiful scenery. very steep and the buggy also had a hard time. Beautiful tee boxes, green fairways and excellent greens, certainly not fast. There is a real club life and the welcome was extremely friendly. We will definitely come again
