On every corner is noise, leaf blower, cranes, construction work and so on.
Between the lakes is a bit of a reach with only two holes where you have to cross the water(lakes)
Overall, expensive and there are better courses around the Algarve.

Beautiful landscape, and very nice design.
The maintenance status was very high on fairways, first cut and especially tee boxes.
Greens were in very good shape, but not that fast as expected.
The bunkers should be free of stones - that's why only 9 points...
It's a challenging golf course, but fair and doable ;-)
Also goof driving range - it's from the mat, but with so many people, maybe better.
Also service on the terrace of 19th hole was very good.

Stunning venue, and a course most handicaps can play without fear. The clubhouse is great, as is Quinta itself. Makes you want to wish you'd worked harder for the past 20 years so you could live afford a house there. Just genuinely love the place and a definite for next year (along with Monte Rei). Returning in June for a weekend break without golf with the other half, and have booked to go see a couple of apartments. Can't think of anything bad to say about the place, albeit it as a test of golf its not a touch on Monte Rei.

The course was magnificent with some really beautiful holes. Customer service at shop and golf area was very hospital. It was a pity we teed of at nearly 2pm as it was very slow and we finished in the dark. An incredibly large resort. Tee off early if you can. And the course signage from hole to hole could have been better.

One word - fantastic. I've played it many many times and it is always immaculate. Such a great test of golf. We tee'd off as the sun came up at 7.36am and played a quick first 9 holes, but then found ourselves behind the back of a club competition and the next nine holes took 2.5hrs. The people in front of us were terrible and crazy slow. No respect for the people behind. It was actually a disgraceful way to conduct yourself, but that isn't the clubs fault.

The day didn't start as well as we'd hoped as the course didn't have our booking but we're very accommodating and got us out at 7:28, 20 minutes early, which made it a bit of a rush but at least we got to play. The course was superb but unfortunately due to the recent rain buggies had to stay on the paths which made our round longer than it needed to be.

Too many people on the course. They start at hole 1 & 10. As you finish on 9 and go to 10, 3 flights were waiting to tee off. This kept on being the case for the whole back 9. The round took 4:15 (2 single hcp players)

Played all three Quinta do Lago courses now and the South is in excellent condition and very challenging.Pace of play was behind by 15-20 minutes at times and the martial didn’t seem to push a group 2 ahead of us which in turn held up the group behind us adding play pressure.Kind of lost my momentum at times which effected my game and our foursome.
The reception desk group were very friendly and accommodating. Excellent golf carts with comfortable seats and gps course navigation.
The restaurant food was excellent once again with friendly and accommodating staff.

The course is usually always in pristine condition. Unfortunately we found today, it was well off being its best. The greens were excellent but the aprons surrounding the greens and some of the fairways were no where near the usual high standard of Quinta do Lago.
