Quinta North is in excellent condition and is a real test of golf. We rate it highly. But ,as with all the Quinta courses, it was very busy and ( for a Scottish golfer ) quite slow. Also we used buggies but without them there would have been some very long walks from green to tee. The clubhouse and facilities are good. Overall Quinta North is one of the "must play ' Algarve courses. Good fun.

Haven't played Quinta North for several years, and we are so happy we booked it, would give it 20/10 if in could. It was immense and unbelievable condition. From the moment we arrived the service was 5 star, this course has gone to my #1 in Villamour, Faro and Albufeira areas. Pro shop, facilties, food and bar very warm welcome and then onto a beautifully presented course with a stunning layout, gorgeous bunkers, fairways and greens.

Quinta do Lago as always was well presented and we enjoyed the golfing experience. The one negative note was that when we went to the dining area to eat after the golf, it was closed for a private function. I don't have a difficulty with it being closed but it would have been nice if we had been informed that food would not be available at the clubhouse when we finished the golf.

This was an awful experience. The bus didn’t arrive at its time of 9.30. We waited for an hour and it was still a no show. Quinta kept saying the bud is outside but it wasn’t. We had to then get taxis as tee time was approaching and had to pay for the first 2 taxis ourselves. Then Quinta said they pay for the rest of the taxis. The bus pulled into the hotel as the last taxi left for the course. The whole experience was a rush and nobody got to use practice facilities etc and it was a big rush onto the course. It kind of ruined the day to be honest. The course/facilities and clubhouse were amazing as always but the transport just let it all down

Its a number of years since we played the course and we found some huge improvements. There has been big investments in the course and the favcilities which are now first class. The biggest improvement was in the staff. We always used to find the very off-hand, not at all interested in providing service and this was a major factor in us deciding to play elsewhere.. There has ben a total turnaround withe the staff being attentive , pleasant and efficient. Very impressive.

Quinta north is challenging. Undulating tree lined fairways where tee shot has to be accurate. Raised front sloping small greens where approach shots too short can be punished. Quinta do Lago North is a nice course, in very good condition, playable-enjoyable by any golfer. Wide fairways, large greens, no hidden traps. Everything is quality and well looked after: through the course (tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens), club house, parking, buggies (state of the art with GPS). Well signed, neat, quiet. Nice views to the hills in the distance. Several fairways do not allow buggies (although the weather is dry just now). Good value for money with Teetimes bookings. I can’t wait to play the South course after renovation!

The North course was in excellent condition as always and the staff from shop to the dining area were all very helpful. One of our buggies gps was not working and the problem was resolved quickly. The reason it doesn't get 10/10 is the prices of merchandise in the shop, everything is about 40% more expensive than it is in a normal retailer or online but we knew this from visiting previously.

Beautiful course that's in excellent condition, greens are so good to putt on but beware if red flags you need to pitch beyond flag or it will spin off the front, a little tip there is no practice putting green beside the first tee you will need to practice beside the clubhouse

Quinta da lago was excellent . Golf course was in perfect condition . I think the buggies at 50 each was a bit expensive considering we could only use them on the paths . Overall all would play here again .

Overall the course was great. Still some comments. The fairway crass was very short. I like to play more soft and longer crass fairways. Some distances to next teebox were quite long, we used trolleys because we want to move ourselves. Especially the walk from last hole to clubhouse was a littlebit confusing. Anyway, the course and its fairways offered unforgettable experiences.

Excellent course....but greatly disappointed with the pace of play. We teed off at 2.16 and it took 2 hours 45 minutes to play the front 9!! That's exasperating. Overall it took over 5 hours to complete the 18 holes. Afterwards, I mentioned this to the proshop assistant and he just smiled and said that's how it is!

Not as good as the South but better than Laranjal. Really enjoyed the course and the greens are great. The on course management is brilliant, we had a 4 ball in front that were slow and as soon as this happened the marshals sat on them until they were back on track. Some of the par 4s are a bit short, but this was okay as other courses we played were thee opposite. Love all the Quinta's they are great courses.

Somewhat disappointed given the hype surrounding the upgrade of the course. The club house was closed for refurbishment, and there was considerable maintenance being undertaken on the course, if we had known this we would have chosen to play elsewhere particularly as this was the most expensive of the courses played.
