A very nice course with stunning views that needs to be played more than once as there are quite a few blind shots. The greens were really good, fast and true. The only problem was a slow 4 ball and 3 ball in front that we caught up with on hole 4 and they held the whole course up for 5 hours.
The club house was lovely and the food and wines were to class.

Great customer service at the course and friendly, only criticism would be the cost of a buggy at €50 a lot more than you pay on mainland Europe

Played Palheiro on December 6,2024.
Greens were in very condition and rolled smoothly.
Dramatic and amazing hill top views of the ocean.
Will return in the near future to play again.

Second visit this week to Palheiro. This challenging course and needs a decent skill level to enjoy it. Very fast and tricky greens. Today was extremely challenging with extremely high winds for 50% of the round. A real work-out if walking. A proper test of golf skills and fitness! Afternoon tea post round was excellent.

Nice course with some interesting, and fun holes. Greens fast, and tricky to read. Definitely worth playing. Enjoyed it so much the first time, I went back for more.

Palheiras is a lovely course, plenty of elevation changes and interesting holes. Take buggy if you are not super fit! Also great views of Funchal, sea and surrounding area. Clubhouse has a nice relaxed vibes, good food (reasonable prices) and great, helpful staff. Not that easy to get to, roads steep and twisty. Well worth a visit.

Très beau parcours mais plusieurs trous étaient en réparation dont pas mal de bunkers. -**- A very fine course, but several holes were under repair, including quite a few bunkers.

First time we played Palheiro it needed maintenance. The fairways were a bit rough. The second time was superb, as the course was much better prepared. The views from both courses were incredible. Staff were friendly and facilities very good. Highly recommend it.

Very nice fast greens the staff were fantastic and helpful. No numbers on tee boxes which wasn’t helpful as had never played there before. Buggies very run down it actually broke down on the 15th and we had to come in and push it up some hills. The staff said they are getting new buggies in the new year and gave us a free buggy for our next time which was great. All in all a lovely course with great views lovely staff and clubhouse.
