Morgado Golf Course: A Premier Golfing Experience in Algarve
In recent years home to the prestigious Portuguese Open, Morgado Golf Course offers an exceptional experience for golfers of all levels. Nestled in a serene valley between Portimão and Monchique, the course blends the charm of parkland golf with subtle links-style elements, creating a unique and challenging layout.
Recently, Morgado Golf Course has seen significant improvements, further enhancing the player experience. The course is now in pristine condition, with well-maintained fairways and greens that provide a true roll, offering a memorable round for every golfer. The upgraded facilities and attention to detail reflect the dedication of the management team to elevating the overall experience.
The golf course's **PAR 73 layout** may seem demanding, but its generous fairways help soften the challenge. However, players need to remain accurate, as numerous strategically placed bunkers are ready to catch errant shots. With its Scottish-inspired bunkering and flat fairways, Morgado golf course combines the feel of a traditional links course with the picturesque landscape of Algarve parkland.
Whether you're a beginner looking to take your first swings or an experienced golfer seeking a technical challenge, Morgado Golf Course is a must-visit destination for an unforgettable round.

Normally I absolutely love Morgado, however was very disappointed on this latest round. The course was a bit shabby and needs some tlc, not as good as on previous visits; the prices of both the golf and in the clubhouse have gone up ; the round was well over 5 hours, no marshalls etc, played the 18th in the semi dark ; although the clubhouse has had a bit of a refurb, the ladies loos were a bit grim and hadn't been touched. Will definitely play again but wouldn't rush back at the moment.

Course in excellent condition, especially the greens.
Play on front nine was good pace - 2hrs 10mins.
Play on back nine was very slow - nearly 3 hrs.

The course was in very good condition - greens playing quite fast (compared to the UK!)
The course was fairly clear and my round only took 3 hours.

Excellent course. Played it few times. Seemed that buggies weren’t available to us/some people with twilight times. Others had them. Didn’t make sense to us.

A good and pleasant course in good condition. During the off-season you can take it easy and really play at your own pace and enjoy the round to the fullest.
