Mijas Golf - Los Olivos
Designed by Robert Trent Senior, the main feature which distinguishes Olivos golf course from The Lakes is the abundance of characteristic Mediterraean Olive trees, its smaller size, as well as fewer water hazards.
The greens at Los Olivos golf course are smaller, undulating and well defended. Although both golf courses are the work of the same designer, there is no doubt there are interesting contrasts between the two golf courses: if Los Lagos are based on hazards of water and sand, Los Olivos is strategic narrow tree lined fairways and elevated greens.

Nice course, great buggies with gps, super drivingrange with trackman and putting area.
Only minus was new hidden Stone ravines not i guide and then you get bad breaks.

A very open, wide fairways with a large number of sandhazerds. Not extreemly difficult, but very sandy greens. The greenfee is overpriced

The facilities were fine but the condition of the greens and the bunkers was dreadful.
Greens full of small holes, pitch marks and patches of soil.
Bunkers had more stones and grit than sand

Nice course even with all the major work going on we enjoyed our game. The courses are very well maintained. The only thing we would like is more softer sand in the bunkers.

Little hard to find even with a sat nav. Very open course in great condition, would probably get bored of it if played several times. Reasonably flat if you did wish to walk or trolley it. Staff not overly helpful in the pro shop.
