The Golf Salinas de Antigua, features a design where its morphology is particularly striking.
Countless hills, bunkers and desert areas, which are really attractive and endearing. All these elements pose endless possibilities, approaches, solutions and strategies of play, aggressive or calm. Either choice will depend on you, and how to advance your game, and your mood.
Along the route, you will find 4 large lakes that protect all or some of our 6 greens. Besides the difficulty they pose, lakes act as large reservoirs, where we store the water that we generate in our own desalination plant, intended for watering the course during night time.
As for the greens, these are simply spectacular. Large, fast, firm and slow in receiving the ball. There a few greens in the Canary Islands that have this. A great treat for golfers.
In terms of vegetation, this is scarce, for the fact that, as mentioned, an integration with the environment was sought. Fuerteventura is a desert island, so we decided to use common sense, and go for a course with vegetation typical of this environment.

I played this course last time about 6 years ago. Always an interesting challenge without pain. It is clear that economics are pressuring....nothing in the shop except 2 work desks. Buggies in the garage but can't be used. Greens and tees perfect condition, some bunkers need weeding, and sand. Water shortage has influenced certain fairways in places. I keep my fingers crossed that things can improve.
