La Duquesa Golf

18 holes and entertaining fairways designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. will allow you to enjoy rounds of golf reserved for players who enjoy the sun and Mediterranean breezes. Spectacular tees from which you can see the African continent and neighbouring Marbella.Teeing off from the 17th hole will convince you that there are very few courses in which nature and design merge so beautifully. We had nothing to do with nature, and as for the design we were fortunate to have Robert Trent Jones, who blended these two elements in such a superb manner. In addition to playing golf, fans of other sports such as tennis, swimming, etc will be able to enjoy them in our top quality facilities. We have a pro-shop, practice range, approach area, putting green, buggies and trolleys, as well as general services which include a restaurant, cafeteria, dressing rooms, saunas, Turkish baths, Jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool, tennis, meeting rooms, etc., all of it in a perfect setting where traditional and modern elements blend in such a stunning way that we are sure you will want to visit us again.

Course needs investment to improve fairways and surroundings, though the greens are as good as you will find anywhere. A nice course, which will be a great course if/when the refurbishment work is complete.

Were to begin?!! In the 40+ years I have been playing golf this is by far the worst kept course I have ever played , the fairways if you can call them that are no better than a farmers field, don’t know when the last time they were seen too,so many weeds growing in them, also lost count of the numerous holes /hollows that are about, the buggy path is an absolute joke broken beyond repair in many places a disgrace, the only thing that is worth mentioning is the greens where excellent, apart from that I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone and they have the audacity to charge good money for this poor excuse for a golf course

The pro shop very helpful and friendly. Not enough staff in restaurant si we ended up leaving before being served Course very difficult , particularly first 9, with small ,very fast greens . Designed for low handicappers not holiday golfers in my opinion Definitely need a buggy as hilly and large distances between tees A little disappointed overall . Beautiful views and well maintained

Enjoyable but windy round. Course, paths etc a bit scruffy but still a good track

Very bad course. Unkempt and rundown. Saw bad reviews on TripAdvisor from 2018 but also saw mention of new owners so hopeful of money investment but sadly not. Very dry course, no visible fairways, just dirt covered by sporadic grass. Happy to finish without breaking a club. No evidence of maintenance, didn't see a single member of staff on the course, then when we finished, at 2pm, caddy house was closed. Then the lady returned. Is she the only member of staff, running a whole golf course??? The hotel, visible from the 10th tee box, looked rundown too. I guess you get what you pay for, 26€ a round. Won't be back. The times.pt though, excellent service and will use again.

First and last time on this course. Very hilly, not a flat place exept the greens, very dry so the balls bounced all over. Generraly good greens. Last 9 marginally better than the first.
