La Cala Resort is one of the largest and most exclusive resorts in southern Europe with three 18 hole golf courses and a high standard Par 3 six hole golf course. The natural features of the La Cala terrain have been used to challenging effect by the renowned golf course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. The three golf courses are carefully maintained to ensure they are playable all year round. The North Course (now renamed Campo America) is perhaps more difficult than the shorter South (Campo Asia) but both demand great accuracy from the tee and careful club selection. Meanwhile, the third golf course, Campo Europa, uses the River Ojen in making the course distinctive. The layout allows for plenty of water hazards. All three offer different challenges to all levels of golfers and demand good course management in addition to a wide variety of shots.

Very nice but difficult mountain golf. Unforgiving if you are not in the fairway ( you won't find your balls), green speeds uneven, some fast, some slow and bouncy, played Europa course, pace of play was excellent, fairways very nice but rarely flat (difficult stances), beautiful views, carts are old style, no GPS or phone chargers, sand traps had nice loose sand but they were wet because of recent rain, but they all played the same. For the price paid, I think they should elevate the standards.

Course was in good condition was asked to pair up with another one ball because of how busy it was. Breezed around the front nine but back nine was ridiculously slow.

The course Europe is also very challenging to play. It is widely spread with lots of ups and downs. It is not as dramatic as Asia but also worth playing.

This course is very good. I can see some continues improvements under way to make it even better. This time some of the greens where not perfect but even speed.

Really enjoyed the course quite a tough test
Lots of places to loose you ball, as fairways tend to be lined by hazards as opposed to other fairways
Course was in good nick
