Played on 17 October. Wow what a stunning set up. The practice facilities are set up as if it’s a tour event. Pyramids of new Dunas inscribed balls surround the practice areas and the facilities are simply as good as anywhere I’ve played in the last 40 or so years. We played off the longer tees (62) for the experience but would play off 57 when we come back (and we certainly will) next time. The holes are bordered by wasteland bunkers but each looks like it was placed there rather than forced in to the land itself. Narrower than Torre up the road but the greens are large and like playing on carpet. I can see this course getting many awards and major comps. Play it, you won’t be disappointed.

We played Dunas almost one year ago and returned as the course layout, conditions and whole experience was excellent. Sadly, this time in late Sept the fairways were in poor condition (different types or patches of grass and too wet) as were many of the tees but the greens were very good. Overall, glad we returned for the super layout and experience but some of the conditions will need to improve if they expect to maintain high green fees.

Dunas Terras da Comporta is not just a round of golf, it's a golf experience. When you drive up to the entrance, you are greeted by a friendly member of staff who checks your tee time. Then it's a lovely drive through the trees with the odd view of some of the amazing holes. On arriving at the car park, you are greeted by another member of staff in your buggy. A quick drive to the temporary clubhouse that could grace many of the courses I've played. The practice facilities are just in front of the clubhouse and are second to none. Registration is in the small pro shop. Again, the staff were extremely friendly. The course was fantastic. Every hole is very different. My favorite was the 13th, a downhill par 4 with an amazing view. This is a course you must play if you are going to Portugal for golf.

Can't speak highly enough of this course. Amazing colour contrasts and fairway shapes. Greens large, undulating, very fair. Lots of room off the tee but lots of trouble if you are in the wrong places. Condition excellent. Visually stunning and great fun to play A must for any golf tourist in the region.

Friendly and welcome staff, great course in excellent conditions. Good practice and warm-up facility. Holes are not as easy to remember, as all are somehow the same, lot of sandy waste areas framing the fairway left and right and couple of strategically placed bunkers in landing zones. Play as soon as you can if you want to enjoy it in natural and quiet state in the midst of coastal pine forrest, as major residential construction already started around the course.

Wonderful golf course in magnificent condition. Played it two days in row to enjoy it more. A must play for any golfer but from tee 62, it’s 6800 yards and carry can be 240 on one or two holes. Anyone can enjoy it from the 57 tees.

Truly a fantastic experience and course. Condition is immaculate and it is so quiet it is likely playing your own private club. Just make sure you pick the right tees for you (don't be over ambitious) as there is no run on fairways and many play to up slope landing areas. Play here before they build all the homes and it gets packed!!

Our first visit to Dunas. It was fantastic. The welcome and attention to detail are outstanding. The Course is spectacular and in perfect condition. We played twice and enjoyed both rounds. This was a very memorable golfing experience. I have played 650 different golf courses and this is at the Top for me. We would recommend this to anyone that enjoys golf. A fabulous course setting and layout! Every hole has wonderful definition with lush green fairways meandering through the dunes and lined by mature pine trees. The trees are not really in play as they are far enough back from the fairways and greens so the main challenge is from the desert wasteland and numerous bunkers strategically located on every hole so accuracy and knowing the distances of your tee shots are key to avoid the penalty areas. The greens are very large so hitting them from the fairway wasn't too difficult - getting close to the pins and avoiding 3 putts was the tricky part. Dunas da Comporta did not play like a links course but this may be because the turf is still very new and not fully bedded in. Sadly, we didn't have time to enjoy the clubhouse facilities or driving range but, from the little we saw, they looked first class and the (young) staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly. While the green fees at Dunas da Comporta are not cheap - in fact the most we have ever paid to play anywhere in Portugal, Spain, the US or the UK - this is a special golf course and worth playing once if you're in the Lisbon area or even driving up from the Algarve. A fantastic new course, which my group enjoyed very much. A comprehensive practice area is backed up by a course in generally good condition given it's age. Some bunkers and fairways will need ongoing work to bring them to the desired standard. The basic design is world class, however, and the course offers a range of tee options for all abilities. Full clubhouse facilities are not yet in place, but I assume will be constructed before too long.

From the time you park the car until you return, the experience is fantastic. Staff is well trained in hospitality and are a joy to be around. The course is just plain spectacular. Best course I have played in a very long time. It will require another season to grow in completely but it is excellent as of now. Would not hesitate to play this course 2 times and skip other courses closer to Dunas.

Dunas is fantastic. Service is excellent. Facilities at a number of places around course. Tees are numbered being the first two digits of the length of course on that tee. Its a bit out of the way but we played Troia as well which is just up the road - a bit tired - but a good course and could not be more different. A third course is under construction so these 3 could become a must go to destination like West Cliff etc

This will be a world class golf resort when all facilities are complete. For now the course lacks a clubhouse, which detracts a little from the experience. Signposting of the entrance to the complex should also be more prominent. The course itself is complete and in excellent condition. The range of tee boxes allow players of all abilities to enjoy the experience, but the course is best suited to low handicap golfers. Access to bunkers and waste areas could me made safer. One ball golf should not be permitted on a course like this Overall a great course that we will return to. Staff are friendly, efficient and courteous.
