Calanova Golf Club is a great par 72 new course located in Mijas, in the New Golf Valley in Malaga. The course with an exquisite and spectacular layout, enables the player to use the strategy during the whole round. Our visit coincide with a morning of very heavy rain, and although the club decision was that the course was playable, after negotiation they agreed to refund our fees. However, we took full advantage of their facilities and enjoyed an excellent buffet breakfast, and all made purchases in their shop.

The golf course is nice and good quality! Not that long and with lots of height difference, very fun to play. Calanova has also a huge shop (the biggest I've ever seen in Europe), good food in the clubhouse and a Toptracer range.

The course is not easy And rather long. Playing time of 4.30 hours is not exceptional.
The fairways are never flat, good positioning of tee shot is very important.
Greens are tough. Putting downhill is extremely difficult.
