Course in lovely condition, shot 75 so was happy and staff were excellent. Reason for 9 rather than 10 rating down to one problem, slow play. Teed off 08:50 and still took 4 1/2 hours due to 08:40 four-ball loosing 2 holes, we waited on every shot! There were Marshalls out there but clearly not being firm enough.

A nice parkland course that´s walkable. Interesting layout and good greens. Sometimes the pin position is absolutely unfair. It seems, as if the whole club is a bit worn out. Rotten buggies, no water in the ball-washer, a lot of stones in the bunkers, no water bottles from the starter. It´s very overpriced at the moment. 70€ would be ok, 120€ is a bad joke. That was our first and last visit.

The course was in exceptional condition and the tees and fairways were beautifully presented. The green were pure and rolled perfectly at a good speed. I walked round with a pull trolley and even though it was flat to mildly undulating I think it would be a nice option to provide electric trolleys too. Some Spanish courses are very hilly, but Santana was very manageable, so much so I would play it again on another visit.

Santana is a beautiful course, it was a bit dry, but hey what can they do... before us, there were some very slow flights, so the round lasted too long at the end.

Im Gegensatz zu vielen Plätzen an der Costa del Sol hat Santana ein eher flaches Design mit Tour- Charakter. Die großen Grüns sind mit einer Vielzahl von Bunkern gut verteidigt und etliche Schräglagen erfordern gut überlegte Landepunkte . Ein Cart ist nicht zwingend, aber für das Spieltempo zu empfehlen.

It’s a very nice course, generally well kept and nice and open. We were a 4 ball and we all enjoyed the round. One thing that did upset us was the controlling of tee times. The 2 ball behind us were released 30 mins early straight behind us and so we felt under pressure from the start. We let them play through only to have another 4 ball race up behind us, and again they were aggressively pressurising our game to the point that it became intimidating, and it spoilt out round from there in. The staff are very nice, the restaurant food is excellent, but in our opinion they let too many players on too quickly and with a lack of observing tee times.
Tee Times reply: Hello Roger Thanks for your feedback. A golf round in Iberia is supposed to take between 4 hours 20 minutes and 4 hours 45 minutes with 8 to 10 minutes interval. Sorry if you felt unconfortable.

Santana was in tip top condition. Tee boxes, fairways and green all in excellent order. Great food in the courtyard also and friendly staff throughout the golf club, with a special mention to Adolf who has worked in Santana restaurant for 10 years now.

On arrival I was warmly welcomed by all staff, buggy master, caddy master & admin. I even got out before my allocated tee time. It was all going do smoothly then the brakes came on. 1.5 hrs later I'd played 4 holes. As I kept running into the couple in front at each tee, they asked me to join up. Couldn't tell where the slow play was coming from but failed to see any course ranger checking. Anyway, Santana is a beautifully manicured course, quality receptive greens stimp at about 11-12. Wide fairways, grit rock sand bunkers are very consistent. Relatively small clubhouse but it's got everything, restaurant had an expansive menu and it was busy. All in all enjoyed my round at Santana and would definitely go back, but with an earlier tee time. Slow play is killing golf.

Decent course, poor facilities. No range is a handicap. Marshall wanted to directly put us on yellow tees due to slow play. He didnt give a notice earlier. He also drove past our group although we were just about to hit.
