Altea Club de Golf was founded in 1974 by Mr Luis Campomanes Asumendi as part of the “El Aramo” urban development project in the foothills of the Sierra de Altea, lodged between the Sierra Bernia and the Mediterranean Sea, which contributes to its undeniable beauty.
The golf course now belongs to the Altea Club de Golf and its members, which is constituted as a non-profitmaking sports association inscribed in the Valencia Community Register of Sports Entities with number 4.139 of its first section. The Club is formed by members of up to 9 different nationalities, and particularly Spanish, British, German, Dutch, Swiss and Norwegian, and works as a semi private golf course, keeping its doors open to the public and with its members rubbing shoulders with green-fee players.

We got rained off on the first day but returned the following day to play 18.
Greens were in a very bad state but I believe they were hit with a very bad disease last year so that explained how bad they were.
Staff in the pro-shop and clubhouse were very helpful and the food was excellent in the Jarcanda restaurant.
One word of note if you do play this course make sure you have your own transport organised as we were waiting nearly 4 hours for taxis

This time we shared a flight with a German couple, very pleasant couple do we had a good round. It was busy so a bit slow play, but never the less a nice experience. The food was great again.

Although it was Sunday and a busy day according to the nice lady at the reception, we played well especially the second round was much faster.

Not very impressive, but high hospitality. Old building and toilets, but good food. The course was not so difficult as am used to in Portugal

Excellent course, the layout, fairways and greens were superb, just shame about the monsoon rain we played through !
Don’t be put off by it only being 9 holes, it’s well worth a visit and is certainly better than many of the course around altea

Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Course is compact, a two-tee arrangement provides 18 different holes. Grens were very ggod but tees and fairways were tired.
