Benamor Golf Course, is a par 71, 5.497 meters from the white tees. Benamor golf course is located in the eastern area of the Algarve, near the quaint town of Tavira. Sir Henry Cotton, who designed the golf course, was inspired by the property's old church and the stunning location. The church is now completely refurbished and is a beautiful landmark on this golf course, right behind the 18th green. Benamor golf course is normally in great condition, and provides an extremely pleasant game to both experienced golfers and beginners. It presents views over the mountains and the sea and features the region's most common flora such as the carob, the olive-tree, the fig-tree, and the almond-tree, which all beautifully complement the golf course. These natural obstacles, along with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards add to the excitement of the game. It's an undulating, sometimes pretty hilly golf course, with Bermuda Sahara fairways, which provide good lies for wood and iron shots. It lends you with a soft start, with a relatively short first four holes, and then it turns into quite the challenge, dragging every bit of skill and expertise out of you. Facilities on the Benamor Golf course include a Driving Range, a small Putting Green, near the 1st hole, and a second large Putting area down below. A nice feature in the Benamor golf resort is the interesting marriage between the sport and culture, achieved by the artwork display in the entrance and the Clubhouse. Adding to this, the golf course also promotes creative gastronomical events, which make a round of golf at Benamor an even more worthwhile experience. On a final note, if you're so inclined, be sure to end your day with a visit to Tavira or even Olhão, both right on the seafront and taking full advantage of that geography with wonderful seafood spots with the Atlantic for a backdrop. We suggest a trip to Cacela Velha to try some of the best oysters in the world - the well-known and delicious Portuguese Oyster - and while you're at it, don't forget to look over the wall at the breathtaking scenery. It's a slightly hilly golf course so Monte Rei includes a complementary buggy on all green fees proposed. The fairways are generous and the golf course boasts excellent fast, huge, beautiful greens. You will need to avoid the many sand traps and be very attentive to your putting. Monte Rei golf course would suit players with medium or low handicaps and is a very friendly course for ladies enabling them to enjoy a shorter distance with an 1185m difference between the red and yellow tees. Monte Rei is a unique golf course with beautiful views over the hills and Atlantic Ocean. From the moment you arrive, the service is amazing, you will be greeted at your car by a golf caddy, provided with valet parking, taken to the check in and your clubs put immediately on your buggy which has complementary water and tees. Guests are escorted to the practice facilities and the 1st tee where fresh fruit is provided. At the end of the play you are met by the ranger who will give you a personally inscribed bag tag and during the game you will be given cold towels in the summer and frequently visited by the well-stocked buggy bar. Quinta do Vale is a Severiano Ballesteros design located close to the Spanish border.A great challenging golf course with long holes, fairly wide fairways and tricky greens. The course is very hilly so you will need a buggy. Your shot from the tee will need to be perfect or you will have trouble to reach the green. Due to the course being high if it is windy you will find it more difficult. Some holes you need to be very precise or you could finish in the water. Hole 15th a par 5 has a beautiful view to the bridge of Guadiana from the tee. Quinta do Vale would suit players with medium low handicaps and is a very friendly course for ladies enabling them to enjoy a shorter distance with 955m between the red and yellow tees. Quinta da Ria takes its name because of the views along the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. A very flat, open golf course with nice greens. Bunkers have lower edges, but very thick rough. You will also find some water around this golf course. Quinta da Ria would suit players with medium high handicaps and is a very friendly course for ladies enabling them to enjoy a shorter distance with 927m between the red and yellow tees. A commercial golf course with great views to the mountain, Ria Formosa nature reserve and ocean, great for playing whilst on vacation and beautiful to walk around. (...)
