Comporta Golf Trophy 2026

From November 8th to 14th, immerse yourself in an elite golfing journey across Portugal’s most breathtaking landscapes. This exclusive event invites just 56 players to challenge their game on world-class fairways, including the legendary Dunas Course and the highly anticipated, Sergio García-designed Torre Course. Beyond the competitive edge of four tournament rounds, you’ll indulge in the authentic charm of the Comporta lifestyle—from sun-drenched lunches and refined hospitality to a sophisticated Gala Dinner. It is more than a trophy; it is a week of pure coastal elegance, strategic play, and unforgettable camaraderie on the finest greens Europe has to offer.

Competition Rules

All rounds will be played in stroke play, with limited strokes to 10.

Classification Categories
General Gross Men and Women
General Net Men Category A – handicap up to 16
General Net Men Category B – handicap 16.1 to 36.0
General Net Women Category A – handicap up to 16
General Net Women Category B – handicap 16.1 to 36.0

Maximum hcp limit per course: 36 for men and 36 for women
There are no accumulated prizes, Gross will always have priority over Net. In case of a raffle, all players participate.

Money Pot
In each competition round there will be a “money pot” on the first Par 3, only accessible to those who register before starting to play each round. Birdies split the pot, Hole in One takes it all.

Dunas Terras da Comporta, a links-style layout designed by David McLay-Kidd and set to debut in the summer of 2023. It was constructed with the utmost care for the environment, resulting in 84 hectares of natural, sandy terrain that is sure to elicit parallels to some of the world's most renowned golfing destinations. There will be a brand new clubhouse and golf academy built to complement the new Dunas Course. Includes Festuca grass-sown fairways, offering a demanding playing environment in the most breathtaking scenery. The length of this course is 6,597 metres and it will test your focus and precision. There are six alternative tee boxes for each hole, so you may play at your own speed, whether that's a nice stroll around the park or a serious challenge to the course. (...)

Montado Golf Course hostes the International of Portugal since 2009. It is a par 72, with 6.366m, distinguished by environment dominated by vineyards and flat morphology region, developing a fitted oak trees where brooks and lakes make it unique.The course layout offers large greens and holes with particular characteristics, highlighting the 18th hole where the green is situated on an island.The Clubhouse (2000m2 covered area) also the subject of an internal rearrangement including a spa, gym, sauna, Turkish bath and heated indoor pool, hair salon. (...)

Aroeira Pines Classic Golf Course opened in 1973, this golf course has 18 holes of championship golf designed by architect Frank Pennink.Considered by experts as one of the best courses in Europe, the Aroeira I received the Open de Portugal in 1996 and 1997 and several Ladies Open. It starts with a nice par 5 surrounded by trees on the right and on the left, but with very generous fairways , that allow players to take advantage of their tee shots . (...)

Quinta do Perú Golf Club Sesimbra, Lisbon

Quinta do Perú was designed by American architect Rocky Roquemore and opened in 1994 as the first golf course built in the Azeitão region, thirty minutes south of Lisbon, set against the Serra da Arrábida. It has hosted a Challenge Tour event and the Portuguese National Amateur Championship, and once ranked as high as 57th in Europe.
The parkland course winds through mature pines and cork oaks, threaded with wildflowers and laced with water throughout. The short 8th is guarded by a lake in front of the green, the par-four 12th runs alongside water all the way to the putting surface, and the sternest test comes at the 16th, a par three of more than 200 metres played entirely over a lake. Fast, true greens are the course's calling card, and guest feedback consistently backs that up.
Facilities include one of the best practice grounds in Portugal, a golf academy, resident professionals and a clubhouse restaurant with views back to the Arrábida hills. Pair it with PGA Aroeira nearby for a strong two-course stop south of the river, and book through Tee Times. (...)
