It was dark when I arrived at the course, the friendly staff assured us it would be bright before our tee time and it was. First time playing course and would certainly play again., also first time I’ve played a course with 6 x par 3, par 4 & par 5. Greens played well in the early holes but slowed and inconsistent as the sun appeared. GPS in the buggy was difficult to read in the bright sun light. Buffet lunch was excellent.

Golf las Américas opened in 1998, designed by John Jacobs and is situated in the Heart of Playa de Las Américas, the best golf course in Tenerife. The Costa Adeje golf course has been designed by José Gancedo by integrating the natural characteristics of the area in the course. The original wall stones, used to demarcate the former banana plantations located on these grounds, were totally restored and added to the other original landmarks of this wonderful golf spot which boasts an 18 hole golf course of par 72 and a 9 hole golf course of par 33. The last 9 holes built next to the practice area are a little shorter but also more technical. Golf del Sur
Golf del Sur was made by the famous designer Pepe Gancedo. But Manuel Piñero was the person in charge turning the Golf del Sur into the only golf course on the Canary Islands with 3 courses after renewing renewing the enlargement of the Links course in 2005.. The 27 holes are perfectly divided on the three golf courses: the North course with 2949 metres and 9 holes split in 2 holes with par 3, 5 with par 4 and 2 with par 5. At the South golf course there are 2 holes with par 3, 5 with par 4 and 2 with par 5, covering an extension superior of 2957 metros. The 36 shots recently opened at the Links course are divided in 2 holes with par 3, 5 with par 4 and 2 holes par 5 with a playing area of 2853 metres. The morphology of the soil has a remarkable influence on the features of each round. The presence of the sea and the impressive ravines on the course, giving the player the opportunity to enjoy each visit made to Golf del Sur. The fairways, wide and undulating, are dotted with many natural obstacles. The presence of various water hazards is in clear contrast with the incredible volcanic sand bunkers protecting the greens.
