A once-in-a-lifetime experience in W Algarve
This is the first W hotel to open in Portugal, and is located in beautiful Albufeira, a famous golf holiday destination in the Algarve.
W Algarve, which was inaugurated last year, gives careful consideration to every facet of the guest experience. In his own words, Henrique Pires, the director of the marketing and communication department of the hotel, remarked: “To be as authentically Portuguese and Algarvian as possible was our primary objective. AB studio, a prominent Japanese partner of Marriott's, was responsible for the design of all the hotel's indoor and outdoor areas”.
Tradition seems to be reflected in the hotel's décor. “As if transported to the Benagil caves, there's a portrayal of the entrance of light in some places of the hotel. The Portuguese cobblestones are inside and outside. The apartments have a minibar stocked with Portuguese items and decorated with an Algarvian chimney”, added Henrique Pires.
In fact, from the moment you step foot in W Algarve, you'll be immersed in a unique and unforgettable experience. Upon entering the hotel, you’ll see one whole wall covered with the beautiful porcelain. There's also a lounge that features some out-of-the-box interior design.
The W Algarve is a wonderful place to visit, even if you aren't staying there, thanks to the many activities that Henrique and his staff have planned, like the Carnival.
“Here at the W Algarve, we can relax and be genuine. Unlike the standard hotel industry, we have the freedom to run things differently. We are able to incorporate our status as a lifestyle brand into our operations”, he said.
In addition to welcoming visitors, these activities also welcome residents. “We hope the locals will visit. We've put in a lot of time and energy to plan themed events and parties so they may come and enjoy this unique and friendly venue”.
