Hacienda Riquelme golf course weaves its way through and around groves of olive trees, wildflower meadows, and large lakes. Taking advantage of the site’s larger scale, the Hacienda Riquelme Golf course features wider-than-average fairways allowing players plenty of room to play while creating numerous strategic options. Many of the greens are broken into several sections by strong elevation changes making it crucial for golfers to play to the correct section of the green in order to set up the easiest putt possible. Additionally, the greens also feature numerous subtle random contours and rolls further complicating putting. The unique bunkering creates a dramatic look sure to set Riquelme golf course apart from other golf courses. Many of these large rugged bunkers are very deep with sand flashing in places up to three meters. The edges of the bunkers are cut in a jagged manner further adding to their distinctiveness while accenting the more rugged nature of the golf course. In an interesting contrast to the other Nicklaus Golf Trail golf courses, Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resorts playing surfaces are grassed with the latest Paspalum varieties, decreasing the need for large amounts of fresh water. ...
This golf course has been challenging experienced golfers since 1988 when it was inaugurated as Real Club de Golf Campoamor by HRH D. Juan de Borbón, Count of Barcelona, in whose honour a tournament which bears his name is held every year in August. The course emerged from the wild beauty of Dehesa de Campoamor between two interconnected valleys surrounded by small hillocks that protect it from the wind, which generates a microclimate that enables the practice of golf any time of year. With a 6,277 m round and par 72 the player enjoys a course whose laws, neatly-manicured to the highest standards of quality, are only enhanced by the lush vegetation and fauna of the area. The back nine greens (10 to 18 Holes) will be renovated during 2019 summer. ...
Lo Romero is an enjoyable par 72 golf course that runs through a natural landscape and measures just over six kilometres from the yellow tees, a bit less from the red tees. Enjoy the tranquilty of nature mixed with sport where the only sounds you will hear is the rustling sound produced by the Mediterranean pine branches and the sole company of the gnawing squirrels that habitat the trees. From some of the holes in the 18 hole layout you can admire the panoramic view of the blue skyline horizon where the sea meets the sky. The strategic positioning of Lo Romero which sits on an old Pear and Apple orchard; an enviable location; high quality maintenance; a well cared for environmental landscape and a golf course design that allows players to achieve a great result, all combine together to give Lo Romero Golf the admirable requisites in it´s favour: Lo Romero is a par 72, that measure 6,237 metres from the white tees, 6,061 metres from the yellow tees, 5,635 metres from the blue tees and 5,260 metres from the red tees.. ...

Las Ramblas is an outstanding golf course in a dramatic, contrasting landscape. Las Ramblas means 'The Dry Ravines' and most tee shots are over or alongside a ravine so make sure you have plenty of balls. This is a challenging golf course even for the low handicap golfer and the greens are fast. There are many blind tees, and one hole in particular is a great par 5 risk-reward hole and some par 4´s are short and drivable if you are accurate. Buggies are recommended for this hilly golf course. ...
La Finca Golf course is the pick of the golf courses in the Alicante area. Relatively young in years(2002) but already developed enough to test the best golfers while still being eminently playable for the beginner. The La finca golf course is long and there is plenty of water, so a good supply of golf balls and a buggy is recommended. Lakes and natural running water abound as do the wildlife and add to this the backdrop of the Mount escotera and you have a must play golf course for the golf minded traveller. The nearly 6500 yard golf course has been designed for tournaments. The natural setting not only provides majestic views of lakes, trees and mountains but it also challenges and makes the game more exciting, including have to hit a ball on an island green on the fifth. Visit many of the other neighboring golf courses when you have completed a round at La Finca. Or perhaps visit the towns of nearby Algorfa and Orihuela. La Finca is truly a golfing sanctuary and definitely one of Spain's sacred treasures. ...

We played the Alhama Signature course on Tuesday 26th of September 2023. We were concerned with some of the reviews we had seen regarding the condition of the course. We need not have worried, the course was in excellent condition, especially the tees and greens. Some areas of fairway are still recovering from some damage, but this was minimal and the fairways look as though they will be in great shape very soon. We really enjoyed the course which is interesting & challenging.
We stopped for food and a drink after golf and the food was outstanding. The club house is not the best looking but the food and hospitality was top notch. We will be making this our go to local course when we play in Spain. Read more about Alhama Signature

Easy booking for a decent golf course with some very interesting challenges. Course perhaps a little rough around the edges for the price, but certainly trickier to play than it looks. If youare uncomfortable playing on sloping fairways , perhaps best to play elsewhere as the front 9 has plenty of them. Read more about La Marquesa Golf

Enjoyed the course, pretty tight on a lot of the holes, you cannot spray it around on here. Quite a tough start if the wind is blowing. Recommended to warm up on the range. The back nine greens looked liked they were USGA and had been relaid recently and played nicely, the front nine were ok but could see the inconsistant growth and mixture of grasses when you started playing on the recently laid new ones, so assume they will be relaid at some point in the future. The Course was in really good condition. The only thing that stops me giving this course a 9 or a 10 is the white stoney wasteland which you can run into even if you hit the Fairway. We ended up giving ourselves free lift and drops as it was only a bounce game as this stuff was starting to scratch up our clubs quite badly when we were hitting out of it. Maybe some sort of Local Rule could be brought in for a free lift and drop. You get a free lift and drop in Tenerife if you land on the volcanic ash. Still a really good track though and we will definitely be back:). Read more about Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort
