The setting of the course can be considered as unique in comparison with most other courses in Portugal. Located in the parklands of what was originally a very wealthy 14th Century Monastery that has been very carefully restored. No expense appears to have been spared in creating this course and its surroundings that includes a residential development.|The topographical layout of the 18 holes is over gently wooded hills which adds to its overall beauty. The course offers interesting water hazards, some elevated greens and added to this is the challenge of the strong winds that some times occur. This course has to be played with respect for its architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. who has created a golf course that demands skill from the most experienced golfers. The course has hosted the Portuguese Open in 1994, 1995 and 2010 and several important international events.

Course condition after rain very poor, we booked a buggy in advance, but they don't tell us that we have to stay on the path way all the time. So we should better walk an use a electric trolley. But nobody talked to us.

We would have really enjoyed the golf if it hadn't been for the strong winds. But that's not the fault of the golf course. Not very busy on the course. Nice buggy.

This golf course is one of the most beautiful and difficult in the Cascais region. It is in very good condition. It was a challenge to play it, which was a lot of fun to accept. The staff are very friendly, the clubhouse is very, perhaps overly elegant and therefore the drinks are probably far too expensive - you don't have to have that after a strenuous game of golf!

Very nice course, but conditions were not ideal given the lack of rain. However, course staff did their best to improve the experience. I will play this course again in the future.

A top quality course in great condition. Excellent facilities including putting green, short practice area and driving range next to clubhouse.
Some massive elevation changes throughout the course with huge drops to greens or elevated greens. 17 being my favourite which no doubt is partly influenced by my two on that hole!!!
The front 9 is scoreable and then strap in for a roller coaster ride on the back nine. Accuracy and decision making so important.
Staff were amazing. A special mention of Gonzalo who did an amazing job of taking care of us. Went out of his way to ensure we had a great day.
All other staff we encountered were friendly, professional and ensured we had an enjoyable day.
A great day out and look forward to playing again the next we visit Lisbon.

Spectacular and very well maintained course. Many challenging holes. If it’s a hot day or or if you prefer to avoid a tiring walk then beat to take a cart because there are a few steep climbs. Greens have suffered a bit from disease this year and hole 13 a little scruffy, but overall an excellent day’s golf.
